September 2010 Message from Pastor Kittel
What in the world are WE here for?
That’s the question we’ll be exploring and answering over the six weeks of September 19th – October 31st. Through worship, small group study, and mission/service outreach, we will answer that question and realize that we are all part of God’s grand purpose in being the channels of His love. These 40 days will prove to be most important for you individually and for us collectively as a congregation if we are to maximize our faith commitment and walk in God’s will for us. To make that a reality to the fullest possibility, we need the highest level of participation. That means having the highest number of us in worship and small groups throughout the 40 days. The benefits will bear much fruit in your personal spiritual journey and our congregational growth as community of believers serving others in His Name. I invite you to sign up at the 40 Days of Community center in the narthex at church. Join us in this adventure of faith, and then help us reach out into our community.
Our Sunday School Rally Day begins on the 12th. Sign your kids up now. Let’s keep them growing in God’s Word. On the 12th they will meet their teacher and join in a morning of exciting activities beginning at 9:15 am. After the 2nd service, there will be an ice cream social and balloon release!
Let’s all get into God’s Word … “continue in what you have learned and have become convinced of, because you know those from whom you learned it, and how from infancy you have known the holy Scriptures, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.” (2 Timothy 3:14, 15)
In the grip of His grace,
