Meeting Minutes from the Board of Evangelism Meeting held on July 15, 2009.

• Sending welcome letters to visitors along with Guest Information Survey
  - have sent 7 letters in 3 weeks
  - 2 guest surveys have been received back

Brainstormed ideas for Outreach

Ideas to Bring People In:

• Increase size of ad in Lifestyle newspaper published in Del Webb
• Create leaflets to drop off door-to-door
• SEO for Website – Increase from number 6 on Google to number 1.
  Current rankings: 1) Westlake Community 2) Springbrook Community 3) First Congregational 4) St. Mary’s 5) Shepherd of the Prairie 6) Trinity Lutheran
  - Plan to add Blog and update Title Tag, Meta Description, etc.
• 40 Days of Community
• Friendship Sunday
• Family Movie in the Park(ing) Lot (invite community)

Ideas to keep them coming back:

• Follow up door call in addition to letter and survey for new visitors
  - bring a plate of cookies or a fresh baked loaf of bread.
• New member dinners
• Expand Contemporary Service
  - survey church to determine interest
  - seek feedback from Proclaim on increased participation

Next meeting is planned for August.  Action register will be created for ideas from brainstorming session and timelines will be set and primes will be assigned.
